Vernon Kirk studied fashion and textile design and graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree. He went on to work as a freelance stylist for Elle Decoration and other Interior Magazines. Following this with a passion for designing he set up and ran a sucessful London based Textile Design Studio, working with U S designers and producing designs for needlepoint carpets and product for U K clients. With this wealth of knowledge in historic needlework, textile, and fibres. He has become a leading Needlepoint Artist capable of reproducing both classic designs for the home and the quirky style that is the signature of Kirk and Hamilton's collection.

Jeremy Hamilton trained as a Fashion Buyer with Harrods in London. He then went on to run the family Needlework Distribution Company. Gaining a great deal of knowledge in all aspects of the business. 10 years ago he bought Stitchery a well established needlepoint kit company in London and added a retail shop specialising in Gift. This enables him to travel extensively throughout the world on buying trips to source products for his store. This gives him a unique eye on what is fashionable and also satisfies his passion for retail buying.

Kirk and Hamilton produce an eclectic collection of Handpainted Needlepoint for the stores in the U S. In the U.K.and Europe they produce a much more classic needlepoint range. They also make design for other needlework and gift companies.
